Rob has been practicing law with his Dad, Robert J. Fries, in their family firm, FRIES & FRIES, P.C., since March 2000. Much of that time as a solo practioner, while his Dad served as in house counsel with Phillips Petroleum Company, ConocoPhillips, and then Groendyke Transport, Inc. Rob also serves the City of Dewey, Oklahoma, as its Municipal Judge and has since January 2007.

Rob took a brief sojourn from FRIES & FRIES, P.C., to serve in the Washington County District Attorney’s Office for more than three (3) years as the Assistant District Attorney handling juvenile delinquent, mental health (adult and juvenile), child welfare, adult protective services, and truancy cases.    After leaving the District Attorney’s Office, Rob practiced briefly as an Associate Attorney with another legal firm, before returning to FRIES & FRIES, P.C. Rob continues to work in the protection of children, the elderly, the infirm, and as a court appointed attorney or Guardian Ad Litem. .

Following graduation from the University of Oklahoma, College of Law, Rob worked as an Associate Attorney with a law firm in Tulsa, OK, practicing labor and employment law, then a law firm in Oklahoma City, OK, practicing transportation law.    Rob received the first NCAA post-graduate scholarship awarded by the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s NCAA Division I soccer program.   His interest in law was piqued in college where his legal career started through employment with a Little Rock law firm and an internship with the Pulaski County Court in Little Rock, AR.   Upon graduation, Rob worked with a prominent law firm in Tulsa, OK awaiting the start of law school.   While finishing his juris doctorate, Rob completed internships with a law firm in Bartlesville, OK, the Oklahoma County Juvenile Justice Center in Oklahoma City, OK, and Washington County Associate District Judge Janice P. Dreiling in Bartlesville, OK.

Rob and his wife have a daughter and two (2) sons. Rob is active with Run-the-Streets, the Washington County Soccer Club (youth and adult leagues), St. John Before the Latin Gate Catholic Church, St. John Catholic School, as well as both the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts of America.
